zcars kitcar / mini conversion.

Having read a lot about the z-cars mini conversion (here:

http://www.zcars.org.uk/mini/mini_single_rl.htm ) I still can't fathor
whether one needs to have the car SVAd after making the conversion.

Anyone have the answer?

AFAIK if you convert a car that's already registered then no, if you build a
new car then yes.
