Some have told me it is time for a new catalytic converter on my Jetta
TDI. Others have said if I drive 120 mph for an hour the converter
will get real hot and burn off all the crud that is preventing it from
cleaning up the stinky smell.

Dirty air filter, bad air flow sensor, incorrect injection timing,
incorrect IQ setting are things I look at in my car.
