Post subject: turn signal / hazard problem

I have a 1999 VW Jetta - old body style 2.0 auto - for the past month i have been trbl shooting various problems with my tail light / signals. I finally found a frayed wiring harness located in the front of the vehicle which I repaired. I now have one frustrating problem left - when I turn on either of my signals, the four way hazards activate. I have relaced my hazard signal switch and changed the relay (aftermarket) I have vsually inspectedthe wiring to the fuse box and have verified all light bulbs - Please help - Thanks
