Post subject: transmission problem...someone please help!!

I have an automatic 200 honda civic coupe. For a little while now my car is kinda struggling from 1st to 2nd gear...ive taken it to many places n they all told me i need a new transmission but i dont wanna pay 2000 dollars. Is there anything else i can do to fix this problem?...somone please help me... Thank you. Laughing
