I have a Stires VW trike, looking something like this;
it has a late 70's Beetle motor:

Mine is not quite ready for the road yet, and I'm trying to decide
if it's worth fixing up before spring. I'm in the Pacific Northwest
where there's lots of rain and sometimes heavy wet snow.

My question is, how well will this rig run in snow and ice
conditions. Does the Beetle transaxle supply torque to both
wheels?

TIA, Sean_Q_

You really want to run that in the snow??

The transaxle has a diff, like any other car,
and the wheel with least traction will spin.

But the weight distribution on your trike should
give very good rear traction, I should think.

Post to this ng instead:
