Guess they are going after a different market now. Disappointing, as I
thought the STi would be the more Evo-like of the WRX/STi pair. The
Evo is certainly the better-looking of the pair, that's for sure!

And now, finally, there is a car for people who can't decide between
an
EVO and a BMW 328/335: they can have a car that combines the worst
features of both: lacking the driving dynamics of evo and lacking the
refinement of the bmw.
A blunt tool with a refinement in between.

I wonder how would the cheaper, castrated GSR (no yaw control)
would compare to the newly castrated rex.

Rrrrright. The evil mitsu/chrysler paid big bucks to all publications
to
that they load bricks into the mitsubishi trunk for the ease of
rotation.
Which part of "understeer" you don't understand?
You must be a lawyer or politician to think anything about the car
dynamics
is subjective.
You can easily rotate mitsu and you can't do so in STI. Kapisch?

I'm not in a mood for another front wheel driver no matter how frisky,
but
I'd imagine that car is gobs of fun. Still, you got rex over
mazdaspeed3
for your son, didn't you?
That won't have anything to do with the winter traction where you
live,
would it?

They should probably have tested with the same tires. Plus, the STI was
faster 0-80. They also said it was a better daily driver.

To me, the bigger issue was the price difference! massive!

What ever happened to 'Subaru - Inexpensive And Built To Stay That Way' ?

Hi,
Two reasons I had to stay with Subie. AWD and seating. Seating for
driver is really uncomfie on Speed3. Copared to old Impreza we had
this WRX handles much better. As an after thought, I think we souped up
suspension on that old car way too much. Learning process I guess.
