Let me start this by saying NEVER EVER let your wife flag for you. Mine
still hasn't a clue.
Thinks standing right in the middle of the rear of the tailgate is the best
place even though I can't see her. She thinks that because SHE can see
everything clearly that I can. An orangutan on LSD would give simpler hand
signs.
So, $643 later, and a crunched power steering cooler and radiator
..................
If I have to stand on top of the cab and cut a new sun roof, then drive with
my feet and long dowel rods, she won't ever flag for me again.
It was worse than being a crane operator and having someone flag that didn't
know signs. Are you saying boom up, pick up on the fast line, pick up on
the slow line, or are you just having a seizure?

If you wanted her to flag in a particular manner, you should have told
her and taught her. If you didn't, and didn't understand her signals,
you should have stopped, cleared things up, then proceeded before
anything got broke.
Sorry for a lack of sympathy here, but take some responsibility yourself!
Some still lays on her, because it seems like it'd be clear you weren't
"getting it", and she should have asked you to stop so you could work
out clear signals between you.
Marriage is a partnership. Partners work together. Take responsibility
for what you did not do to improve the situation, and move on.

We covered this at least a dozen times previously. Read the second line
where it says, "mine still hasn't got a clue." She still thinks if she can
see one of my mirrors (any mirror) that I can see her fully and understand
her.
From now on, I'll just do it solo.

Last crane lift I was on the guy giving signals to the crane was hopeless,
but the crane operator stopped the crane, got out and said that the load was
not moving another inch untill someone that knew proper signals, and knew
what to do with them, took over!

I was a crane operator on a drilling platform in the Gulf of Mexico for
several years. That is what you do on the job. What happens at your house
is another matter. The only two alternatives to my wife don't speak
English. Oh, they "speak" on command, but it's only one bark. Maybe one
bark for left and two for right?

Why isn't it another matter? Near as I can tell, for safety's sake, and
to get the job done properly and without damage, should be exactly the same.
Man, I'm glad I'm not *your* wife. Bark?!? A husband that blames
everything on the wife is missing more than half the picture.
Makes me appreciate my husband even more. Thank you for reminding me
that, though he's not perfect, I could have done much worse!

So now I'm confused. She was behind you, so I assume you were backing up.
How'd you end up with a crunched radiator and PS cooler going backwards?
When it comes to tricky back-up jobs, I put the lesser-experienced person
behind the wheel, use a pair of Motorola two-ways, and give specific
instructions: "hard left", "off the brake", "straighten out", "stop", as
I'm watching clearances around the trailer. The driver only listens - does
not talk at all - and just does what she hears on the radio. I've found it
works much better that way, than having the conversation afterwards, "No, I
meant make your wheels go left, not the trailer left!" or, "Oh, I was

Sorry but I gotta support Jodie on this. I make it real clear where I want
things to end up and explain to her how WE will get it there. You shoulda
stopped the whole deal until you both were not only on the same page but in
this case, the same sentence. It was your toy and ya broke it by not

Hard start cold, any thoughts? - Hi people, 1995 1500 auto 2WD 5.9 This has recently been difficult to start when cold but then starts fine when the engine is warmed up. When cold, it just clicks a few times and sometimes it doesn't even click. After a few tries it has so far started....
