Post subject: small block ID I wish they'd make up there minds !

I have a small block chevy motor .I am 99 % sure its an 1994 LT1 my
question is why does the block have 327 in big letters on the side and
5.7L on the rear ???
correct me if I'm wrong or just mental but arn't LT1's 350cid & that =
5.7Liters
