Post subject: slow cut solenoid

does anybody know what a slow cut solenoid is? My truck is blowing the number 8 fuse and it wont start. It will crank over but it isnt getting gas. I pulled the same fuse out of my daughters 87 pickup and it died to. Just wondering if anybody knows where it is located. I dont think it is the fuel pump because like i said, my daughters truck died when I pulled the same fuse. But my truck keeps blowing the fuse and Im not sure if it is a wire grounding out or it is that solenoid. Any help would be GREATFUL!!!!!
Thanks!!!!!
