I am new to this group. Apologies ahead of time for any group protocol
errors. Can anyone suggest how or where I can sell my two front seats
(2001 BMW 525i)? (Ebay/internet classfieds would be shipping
nighmare!Too hard.) I'm replacing with sportier ones. Not a pitch, but
they are original, in excellent condition, light grey leather, but not
the ones with heaters. I'm in Southern California. Any input is
greatly appreciated! Kathy

Couldn't you make it a condition of sale that they have to be collected?
Otherwise, seems to me you'll have the same problem however you sell them,
unless via a local paper etc.

Dear Prudence,

Try Bimmerforums.com and Bimmer.org. Both have very active classifieds
sections.

Bill

What part of So. Calif., and how much do you think you need for them?

Thank you for your replies. We went to get the sport seats from the
guy, and they turned out to be the same as the ones we have! We won't
be trying to sell ours until we find the sport model. But your input
has been greatly appreciated. Hopefully, we will find the sport seats,
and a good deal, at the sites suggested. (Treat your bmw with respect,
not smoke.) TY, K<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

In southern CA, The Recycler is where all the action is. It was eBay before
there was eBay -- people used to line up at conveniece stores in the morning
waiting for the paper to arrive. eBay has pretty much replaced it for most
folks, but among car people, musicians, etc., it's still going pretty strong.
Try <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.recycler.com" target="_blank">www.recycler.com</a>

For something like this, it may be worth your while to pay the $35 to join the
BMWCCA so you can put an ad in the Roundel and on the club website.

Other than that, try ads on various web forums like <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.roadfly.org" target="_blank">www.roadfly.org</a>

Mesa Performance in Costa Mesa is a mecca for local enthusiasts, especially the
dirty fingernails crowd. They have classifieds/forums on their website
(www.mesaperformance.com), plus you might drop them an email to let you know
what you have for sale. They may be able to hook you up with someone who needs
what you have. Also try Leif Anderburg at M-Sport in Walnut.
