Mine does it too. I usually get them to unstick it when it gets serviced but
it comes on again after a couple of months. Must be a design fault. I was
told a new one would be about £37 ($65).
Other LS400 issues that I've come across are; The mirror that "dips" when
you select reverse comes back to a slightly higher position that it was
previously so every few days you have to adjust the mirror; The switchable
option to make a beep of the horn when you remotely lock the car doesn't
work; The radio can be set to alter the volume with the cars speed but this
does nothing: All the above relate to UK spec cars I've had, can't speak for
other Country's cars.
