Post subject: Get more power out of a 4AFE engine

I drive a 1996 Toyota Conquest RS 160i (4AFE ENGINE). The dyno reading was 53kw before the setup and after the setup it was about 63kw with 144NM. (This was done at Noise boys Centurion South Africa Cool ). I would like to keep the car natural aspirated but would like to get some more power somewhere in the region of 100KW.

Will the following setup work?

1. Gas flow the head with bigger valves (stainless steel). Would like to know if porting will help.

2. Aftermarket fuel management system (prefer Dastech or Mr. Turbo)

3. A set of Toyota RXI injectors or from Mr. Turbo.

4. I need another gearbox because with the standard gearbox I get 190km/h at around 5200rpm in 5th gear. (Please advise should I go for the 6 forward Toyota box or should I get my box modified)

The above is the first set options I thought about.

· The other option was to fit a 1.6 20v motor in my car.

· Gas flow the head and get a set of new valves. Get an aftermarket fuel management system and new injectors.

· A new gearbox.

Cool

I doubt if all of the above modifications combined will get you an
additional 40% power. You will probably get an additional 5% to 10% at the
most.

A bigger motor may get you the desired power, if you are willing to spend a
lot of money.
