I just accidentally came upon some articles about vette restorations.
Some posters mentioned "nabers brothers restoration" and "nabers
motors". Are they the same and are they supposed to be legendary in
vette restorations?

And is one poster right that a complete vette restoration might run
about 1000 man hours around $75/hour for labor plus parts? Advice
after that said it was better to buy a vette already restored for
economics.

Can't comment on Nabers.

Yes, the price of a show-quality restoration to original appearance
(eg, one that wins top originality awards at NCRS judging events)
could easily cost that much, and the conventional wisdom is that
it's cheaper to buy one than do one, assuming you have the expertise.
to discern between a perfect original restoration and just a really nice
car.
Neophyte buyers rarely do.
BTW, the correct original parts could easily be double the labor cost,
depending on their rarity and what shape the car was in at the start.
Some owners who are really into the hobby do restorations for the love of
returning a Corvette to it's former glory and their own work may approach
that of a really professional restorer, therefore they have less money
but a LOT of sweat equity in their car.
