Post subject: loud noise

Have 98 jeep cherokee....when i take on highway and get it up to 60....loud noise coming from transmission area.....when i drive slower around town ...no noise....no stalling no jerkinig or slipping just that noise when i get it going at higher speed...no idea what it is....PLEASE HELP...Meghan
