I had to get a dealer part today. So I took a look at a Rabbit again.
Available was a 2008 Rabbit S 4 door hatch. Stick, red , standard
equipment, Same as a Golf S would of been. It is $18,150. The dealer had
to trade the one I looked at to get it . Because VW wont send enough cars.
( normal business practice) The one I looked at. Had sunroof, bigger
wheels, an all weather package, alarm, $21, 300. I previously drove one .
So I didn't drive it but ripped it apart good. The sales rep kept saying I
didn't know that did that. Everytime I opened up something. He didn't know
anything. Its a damn nice car. With the wrong engine. The nicest thing was
telescoping steering wheel. And the hatch between the rear seat. It put my
left hand on the wheel and my right comfortably on the handbrake. I have
long legs and sit way back in my Golf. I didn't have to sit up and forward
like an old man. Also the rear seat folds down but sticks up because the
bottom doesn't tip forward against the front seats. But otherwise a very
nice car. I almost thought about trading my Toyota. But it has changed my
life. VW does have some goodies planed for around 2010-2013. A new little
car for instance . And they should be back in the diesel business.

When will TDI be available in new "Rabbit" - The VW North America web site lists the 2.5 as the only available engine in the new Golf, again called Rabbit in the US like the A1 Golf. Does anyone know when this car will be available with the TDI? TIA

2006 Rabbit - What is going on at VW? Why would they introduce their new platform as a Golf only to change it's name months later to Rabbit? Don't get me wrong I owned and loved a '79 Rabbit. But it seems that it is time for VW to shop for a new marketing firm.

Anyone with a 07 Rabbit? - Just curious about real reviews. Looked at one yesterday. Quite impressed. Must go back when the 7 year old is not with. Gotta take one for a drive. Looking for a replacement for 94 Jetta 2.0.

84 Rabbit - I have an 84 Rabbit 1.7l, carb. It runs fine right now. I've never changed the fuel pump. 145,000 miles. Do I have one fuel pump or two? Should I consider replacement of it (them)? TIA Andy

'84 Rabbit Convertible FS - Hello I have too many vehicles and must part with one of them. I thought I would go out to this list instead of eBAY. Mine is a pristine '84 Rabbit convertible Wolsburg edition. I am the 2nd owner. The car is the nicest Rabbit I have ever seen and have....
