Post subject: won't idle

hi i was wondering if anyone has a problem with a mass air flow,i changed the timing belt and put a new head gasket on it and now when you start it it won't idle and acts like it is loading up i checked the timing again and looks good i just happened to un-plug the mass air flow and it idles and runs better the only thing i can think is the mass air flow went bad when i pulled it off to change the head gasket any help would be great thanks jason
