hi,i have a honda del sol and got a price to the brake job that would
give anyone a heart attack.it is a 1995
with all disk brakes.i have done many brake jobs with no problem.so i
go down the honda dealer and buy the pads cause thats the only place i
could find them.three different kind.
i did the front ones first, never have i done front pads any easer one
bolt lift up the calaper placed the pads in place.thats it.when it was
time to put the calaper back i grease up the pin back plate
i took one of the old pads, placed it on the calaper and squeezed it
right back inside of the calaper
with a c-clamp alls fine.
now igo to the back everything about the same.but when i tried to
squeezed the calaper back inside it would not move and i did not want
to force it.i just priced them the best i found was 500.00 for a pair.
the back appear to be a little different.it has like a hub in the
center and the hub has a slotted like cross.
i remember years ago there was a calaper you had to screw in instead
of forcing back inside with pressure.does anyone know if there is a
special tool,or does it work like the front
i don't want to force if it not going to go.that slotted cross looks
like a place for brake ajustment. the hand brake is also attached to
the rear calaper, thankyou for any help. iamneno >> Stay informed about: honda del sol |
