Archived from groups: alt>cars (more info?)

We have four vehicles and since the mileage on each them is '190K, 140K,
128K and 64K'. We needed a new vehicle for reliable transportation for long
distance journeys (to see my son). Hence we purchased a new vehicle in
December '05. One of these four was grounded (removed insurance). Now- if i
sell one of these 'high mileage' cars, I know that I cant get more than
1000- 3000
dollars.
They all run good and have no serious problems as such. These cars are as
follows
- 1992 Oldsmobile Silhoutte- 190K (runs as good as the day i bought it)
- 1994- Saab -140K- Maintenance intensive - but runs beautifully
- 1996- Infinity G20- 128K- Most trouble free car i have ever owned- runs as
good as new
- 2002- GMC Envoy- 60K- Great Truck
- 2005- Volvo XC90-5K- Beautiful Suv

What do with the extra vehicle? What is sensible thing to do?

get rid of the one with the most money you will have to put in it. From the
looks of it. The saab. That is my opinion. Or maybe the olds, with that
high miles thinks could go south soon, even with it running good. Just my
opinion.

I think I would unload the Saab because it may kill you worse in the future. Cost doesn't seem to be your issue though. If your motive is reliability and downtime, still get rid of the Saab.
You took the insurance off one of the cars in December, but for unknown reasons, you failed to mention which one it was. You must have had a gut feeling that animated that decision. That's what you will end up doing regardless of what anybody come up with here.

Seem like the Saab will be the most expensive car to keep. Price of
parts etc.
