i tried to do the axle again ...you do it like the book says to do the
amigo......you take the roter and calliper off and unhook emergency
break cable ..jack it up high enough to hold the differential fluid over
and you shouldnt loose any..you dont have to take the hoghead cover
off....ok after every thing is out of your way at the rear axle there
should be 4 studs going in from the break backing plate ..it holds the
axle in take the 4 nuts and washers off and put a slidehamer on the lugs
and drive it out ...you should spray the studs to losein them up ...one
of mine would
not come out so i will rent a torch set to heat it...after you get it
out you can take it and get them changed or change it your self ,theres
a snapring behind the bearing take it of and press the old bearing off
or cut it off and and after you change the seal you can you can stand
the axle up on a block of wood and drive the new bearing on with a pipe
over he axle. put the snapring back on.then it should go quick if you
dont have stuck studs...the bearing cost 80$ in my area and 12 for the
seal.........if it had the rearend like the book says then the bearing
is 10$ and 7 for the seal ...lol hopes this helps you
