help i need instructions? for a 1980 300d

hey guys trying to help my nephew out here and i read alot of posts but nothing that seemed to help my situation.i need to remove the whole ignition and steering lock assembly on a 1980 300d, i found a couple articles but they didnt go in depth or werent for this car,if u could send me instruction of that whole process or tell me where to get it would be greatly appreciated,he just got this and is low on funds cant afford to buy a repair manual.thnx bb
