Anyone know what the ohm rating for a 1948-1953 ford pickup fuel sender is?

I'm not sure what you mean by a fuel sender. If you mean fuel pump, on a
stock engine it is a mechanical pump.

He's talking about the resistance of the fuel gauge sender--the part
with the float that's inside the tank. I don't have his answer, but I
know what he was asking.

Yea, I'm getting new instrumentation put it the gauges, but retaining the
same look (retrofit). Was hoping to just keep the sender but they need to
know what to calibrate the gauge to. Might just have to get a new sender if
I can't find the answer. A little peice of me dies when I replace original
parts though.

Jeremy, get the sender for the gauge, Ford uses a thermal type sender unit
that matches the gauge, get a motor manual for the fourties or fifties at
the
library and check put the ford gauge section.

I ended up finding a new sender to match the new gauge. Now all gauges AND
senders are new, and should be trouble free for a long time.
