when i turn the key on the fuel pump comes on and the truck will
start. it will run for 15-20 seconds and cut out. after it cuts out
with the key on i try to start it it will not start(cranks over but no
start). turn the key off and back on it will start. i replaced the
fuel filter still have the same problem. i have not put fuel in the
second tank to see if that fixed the problem. what else could be the
problem and how to check it......

Obviously you don't have the service manual. Search the group under
'fuel problems' and you will probably find a few leads (which,
probably, involve a thing called the 'dual function reservoir' and the
fact that you have at least three fuel pumps.
