Should only do that with engine already at operating temp.

You might have to fiddle with the accel to get it to start, first try just
a little pressure on pedal, then to floor then pump it, once engine smooths
out, see if it idles very slow, or dies. If so, then the IAC is either
bad... or there is another problem but not a vacuum leak.

88 T-bird Idle Problem - I have a 88 t-bird with a 5.0 HO motor and was having a problem with the car dying at lights or stop signs,etc. so i changed the plugs to start with and now it's worse. it had split fire plugs and i installed ac's. any ideas?

fast idle - my 85 ford f-150 /300-6 has developed a high idle. what could be the cause?

93 t-bird sc - hello, i just replaced my idle air contol valve because my car was dying all the time and now its worse then was b4 i replaced it and it dies right after i start it. am i supposed to get that (idle air control valve) adjusted w/ a computer or something..

97 T-Bird Oil in Coolant - I have 97 T-bird with oil in the coolant system. Would the most logical source be a blown head gasket or just an in-take leak?

93 T bird.............Rear End?? - Hi all, today it was a 93 T-Bird, was towed into the shop with a blown brake line. Car had sat for about 3 years.............. Went to drive it in, backed up, went forward, went OK for about 20 feet,(this is a gravel lot) and the rear seemed like it was....
