Archived from groups: rec>autos>rod-n-custom (more info?)

I have a 1937 Chevy here with a 1969 frame and V8 Chevy engine . It has
side pipes on each side that end just in front of the back tires .
All the exhause pipes and such look new as in not rusty at all . The
engine & frame are pretty basic no smog equipment . The instalation is
15 years old and the car was always a summer driver .

Problem i have is exhaust smell in the cab . Its so strong it bothers my
throat . Is this typical of such an arrangement ?

I agree with what v8z says, just check that the side pipes extend out from
under the body. Also check to see if you have all the holes in the firewall
sealed.
