Hey all,

I'm interested in obtaining a type 1 engine. I've seen some supplier's
on the web that sell 1600 to 2180 cc engines, new or rebuilt.

Are there some suppliers to avoid?

Which ones have the best reputations for delivering quality new/rebuild
type 1 engines?

Thanks.

Engine Removal from Bug - I have a '68 Bug with a stock engine except for a 4 into 1 exhaust. All the writeups I've read on removing the engine say to pull the engine straight back until the pressure plate clears the mainshaft. The problem is, though, there is only about 1 inch..
