As someone else said, remove the lower hose. They used to sell a
radiator cap/garden hose adapter that would allow connection to a garden
hose to flush the coolant. That way, the whole engine could be flushed,
and not just the radiator. I don't know if they still sell them, but you
could probably rig up something similar.
