3:39p
Oil gains back Friday's losses and more on Tropical Storm Rita fears
and OPEC reluctance.

Rich.... you need to get out more....

You're sounding like "Chicken Little" even though the sky isn't falling any
harder than it was last year. The cost of everything is rising.... think
nack to your last pay raise..... the cost of what you do, went up at that
time....

Let's add some context.... I'm building a 600+ square foot addition.....
obviously, the huy at the builders supply is thinking "Cancun this
winter..." and I'm not. My taxes WILL go up..... My energy costs WILL go
up....

I pay for premium DSL service.... I got cell phones coming out my ass (well,
my family has cell phones...... I don't wear a watch, I don't have a
cell.... you ain't gonna find me unles I let you). When I signed up for
satellite TV, I simply said "everything but the porn".... If a program is
listed that I get the urge to watch, I can.... if I couldn't, I woud be
pissed. I buy SnapOn and MAC tools for at work.... I buy Dewalt and similar
for at home. I spend a LOT of money....

I have two full size 4X4s in my driveway.... I pull up to the pumps, grit my
teeth and say "fill....".As consumers, there's not much we can "say"..... We
can sell our cars and rely on public transportation.... we can ride bicycles
(not too nice in an Alberta January)... horses are a viable alternative but
we still have to deal with "meadow muffins".

Long story short.... you aren't reading news reports that the rest of us
aren't reading.... Energy costs are going up.... The energy sector makes
massive political contributions..... DUH.....

Gee thanks I just did and now I feel like calling in sick.

What is up with that lately. I am doing a bunch of work around the
house as well. Some rather large major projects such as a replacement
driveway, new landscaping, kitchen remodel and so forth. Every damn
contractor I call is acting like this is the last job he'll do this
year and cost for the rest of it on the profits off my job. Freaking
Plumbers & Electricians seem to be making more an hour then I do as a
senior IT professional.

Same here, but I included the Porn as well. I probably have half of
the computing museum in various places in my house. While cleaning up
my attic I came across an old Atari Computer System that I paid over
$3k for a couple of decades ago.

Hmm, a F-150, Chevy Astro, Chevy S-10, Mustang drop-top, two Corvettes
and an `06 Harley Electra Glide Classic here. They all love their
go-juice as well.
