Heard a rumor that 2007 will be the last year of the Odyssey. Looking at
the Honda website, I see all kinds of 2008 models shown, but the Odyssey
is specifically still listed as "2007", with no 2008 model. What gives?

They seem to sell a zillion of them in Cary, NC. No, I doubt they are done.

The magazines say the 2008 has been at auto shows, will be at the
dealers next week. And a redesign is planned for the 2010 model year.
That doesn't sound "done" to me.

From some other auto dealers, who wouldn't have any real reason to lie
about it, since they don't make a competing vehicle. They could have been
wrong, of course.

Why isn't it shown on the website? The Odyssey is the *only* model to
still show only a 2007 model there. Where did Honda "announce" this?

Well, that's right, if it's true. Do you have any idea why the Odyssey
(and only the Odyssey) still only shows a 2007 model on the Honda website?

Why so impatient? It is still 2007 you know...

The 2008 Odyssey will be released in just a few weeks. It will have a mild
facelift in the front grill area and slight change in the rear taillights.

Perhaps I want to buy a 2008. This is the time of year when people do
that kind of thing.

It's just quite strange that *ALL* the other models are available as
2008's, but the Odyssey doesn't even show that on the website, much less
on the dealer's lot.

IIRC, the new Accord wasn't on the web site until it was released either, or
just before. I seem to remember going to the site to check a couple weeks
ahead of the release and only finding images of a concept version from a
while back.

Perhaps all the other 2008s are shown because they are all currently
available for purchase. Maybe that's just the way Honda does things,
possibly in an effort to not cannibalize current sales.
