Post subject: brake lights

hi
I have a 97 ford falcon stnwgn and i am having trouble with my taillight i replaced bulbs and fuses. There seems to be a problem with the connection from the actual brake pedal when depressed the light doesn't come on. can anyone help.

If the Falcon is anything like the Mondeo you have a bad connection
at the multi-function switch. (the "center" brake light comes on, and
the signals work, but no brake lights)
Had the problem twice on my 96 Mystique(Mondeo)
The connection is the little plug that connects to the left side of
the steering column up at the MF switch.
