"If you have to ask, then the project is too difficult for you."

When you say problems, what do you mean? Of course there will be
problems, lots of them. You'll have to do major work to get them to
match up.

What was wrong with the original frame?

(not to mention you didn't say *what* frame, or what 57 truck body, or
any other meaningful details.

IMHO a major product. I'm not sure a 81 frame (and drivetrain, right?)
is the best choice. Maybe something *much* newer from a roll over?

You might want to find a shop near you that does this type of work, and
offer to serve an apprenticeship on one of their builds.

That will give you an idea of the work involved, and whether or not you
have the skills and equipment to do your own.

As swaps go, going from Chevy to Chevy SHOULD be a lot easier than some of
the more involved swaps between different makes.

Do lots of comparative measurements. Wheelbase, track width, cab position,
etc.. If there's a will there is a way.

It should say. "If there's enough money, there's a way!"
