Post subject: Does towing void warranty?

I an thinking about buying a Kia Sedona and I tow a popup camper (just in
summer months). If I put a tow hitch/setup on the Sedona. Does it void the
warranty???? Seems like it shouldnt if I follow all requirements. Any
information appreciated.

If you run into a trannie or engine problem at a later date and the dealership wants to blame you, in my opinion just be sure you have checked with a dealer before towing and try and get a written statement that things are okay with your tow. I'm aware of a problem with Toyota a while ago in which a warranty was void by the dealer when it was discovered the trailer was 500 pounds heavier than specs allowed. My friend had to pay for his trannie repair. Warranty was void by Toyota.

Towing does not void the warranty provided you tow within the limitations
and restrictions set forth by Kia for the van you get. One of the things I
noticed for my wife's Sorento is that the owner's manual specifically states
that any trailer over 1000 lbs must have trailer brakes.
