Anyone know of a compressor wheel with exaclty same cross sectional profile
as a Garrett 45-Trim, part number: 409096-8 but with a greater throughput at
lower revs?

And if so where can I get an accurate compressor map?

Cheers,

Hi; I may be wrong but don't they change the turbine side to control when
the boost start to come in - IE; smaller turbine housing boosts
earlier, larger turbine housing boosts later in the engine RPM range. and the
compressor side is adjusted to control total boost pressure and flow rate
for a given engine.
Just my thinking but I've been proven wrong before Sad

You are probably quite right, but what im after is a compressor wheel that
has a greater mass flow rate at say 100,000 rpm as the current 45 trim, but
with the same x sectional profile. Not too worried about whats happening in
the turbine at this stage.

Does that make sense?

I think the outside diameter of the wheel doesn't change only the inner
diameter (inducer). The inner is changed to have different trim's. Maybe a
housing with a greater a/r will work easier leaving the wheel as it is.
You can find some nice tech info here:
