I have a 97 stock s10 (2.2) which I plan on modifying soon. I would
like to add a considerable amount of horsepower for less cost than
throwing down on a 350... I can get a 2000 vortec 4.3 for less than 500
dollars and the possibility of throwing a turbo on that seems
appealing. Any thoughts/direction on were to go with this would be
great..

Thanks,
Matt

Putting a 350 in is probably the cheapest to bolt on and drive...BUT .. you
did not say what your budget is .. your hp "wants" , does gas mileage matter
... etc ..
Then of course ..there is the emmission test problem once you screw with
taking the factory motor out...
You need to give far more information to get a useful answer .
Dave.
