No, I meant hub caps. They don't have wheel covers either, but "wheel
covers" doesn't include hub caps, whereas "hub caps" includes wheel covers.

Sound like affixing razor blades to fender skirts. Hopefully, fender skirts
and curb feelers won't make a comeback!

I learned something new today! Since every one I've seen had at least a hub

LOL! They probably look more appropriate on the Continental than on the LS.
Were curb feelers around when your Continental was produced?

The earliest I remember curb feelers was the early fifties, ten
years after the Continental.
A flat head Ford convertible with a windshield visor, a prism on
the dash to see the traffic lights, a set of fuzzy dice hanging
from the mirror, twin radio antennas on the back fenders, skirts,
curb feelers, a suicide knob on the steering wheel and one was
all set to go cruise' the drive-ins to look over the girls on
roller skates for one that did not wear a panty girdle, to take
to a drive in movie on saturday night.

Not bad, not bad. My solution's a little more pragmatic: I found a company
that makes a replacement ram's head that has no flex mechanism. It means
any pedestrians I hit (right, Judy?) are gonna get a ram's-head-sized
chunk torn out of 'em, and it means I can't turn the ram's head around
facing rearward the way I like it, but it also means it'll be a great deal
more difficult to steal. >> Stay informed about: Had my hubcaps stolen today |
