Any word on if he is ok after the acident, and if he will have another car
for the next race?

The NHRA site has stupid content all this week but doesn't even have news
about the accident.

I read that he is OK and has some minor burns. I THINK I read that
he would have the car ready for Sonoma. I'll see if I can find the
thing I read (it was on the Internet).

the nhra seems to struggle releasing any news that is not of a
*positive* nature. dont get me wrong here but the older i get the more
the nhra organization seems to be moving towards a marketing
organization moreso that a drag racing sanctioning body. i have been a
fan since the 70's and started attending matches at the old orange
county raceway (CA) but lately i have been getting turned off to the
point that i dont want to make the trek to las vegas twice a year like i
used to.
