Archived from groups: alt>autos>nissan (more info?)

At highway speeds I sometimes get a wobble which seems to start in the
rear of the vehicle. It feels like it is up and down and/or side to
side. It usually starts on a curve or if the roadway is bumpy and/or
uneven. I've replaced the rear shocks and have inspected the rubber
bushings, sway bar and rear springs. Nothing appears to be worn or
cracked. Has anyone else experienced this and found the solution to
this problem? Also, I'm wondering if this is common problem for
Pathfinders.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

TIA

Sway Bar rod or ends could be bent

Have you inspected your tires? Maybe you have a belt that's unwraveling
inside the tire. Jack the vehicle and spin the tires while eyeballing
them for being egg-shaped or having excessive run-out.

Its your rear suspension links bushings. Common problem on our Pathfinders.
You should be able to reproduce it by accelerating then decelerating a
couple of time is a row. The rear end will "wobble" back and forth.
