G2 Radio Question

I'm planning on replacing my stock radio/cassette player (the thin type
with the cubby hole beneath) with the big thick Infinity
radio/cassette/CD player = model MR225577.

My questions are:

Does the big radio require the underseat amplifier I see occasionally
advertised on ebay, or will it work as a standalone unit?

Will my existing mounting bracket and bezel work with the new radio?

I'm trying to get all this figured out BEFORE I start pulling out the
console.

My car is a '97 GS with the 6 speaker system (2 on dash, 2 in doors, and
2 in rear panels).
