Accepting an offer on an ebay auction and then ending
that auction early to sell the item "off ebay", is something
a seller is not supposed to do under the terms they agreed to
when they registered at ebay. Ebay will tell you that
they are NOT an advertising medium to help people sell
things "off ebay". That is why ebay is doing
everything it can to make sure all communications between bidder
and seller are done through ebays "email" / ask seller a question, system,
which they CAN and probably DO monitor.
So, I would strongly recommend any communication about selling
an ebay item "off ebay" be done on yours and the interested party's
private email accounts.
BTW, if you end "too many" auctions early, ebay may suspend
you fearing that you are selling "off ebay" and are cutting them out
of their :final value fee". No one I know who sells on ebay
is really sure what "too many" actually
means, however.
