With a 41% increase in sales for the month, that really got their
attention as to the price elasticity of vehicles. It's hard to shut
that off, but if it continued they would run low on stock. All those
extra sales are not pull ahead sales or even sales taken away from
competitors. Some folks just decided to get out of those old cars and
buy new when the value for dollar was there. Jokingly, could this be
the start of the deflationary spiral some analysts warned about?

The biggest problem for GM now is that it is costing 1500 dollars per
vehical in pension and medical care for life benifits to retirees.I expect
them to default on them like the airlines are doing now.

That line reminded me of an old cadence call from the service,
"Used to drive a Cadillac
Now I drive a Chevrolet
Used to Drive a Cadillac
Now I drive a Chevrolet
Chev o left and lay o right
Chev o left and lay o right"
