Post subject: Dash lights problem. Can you help ID problem?

The dash lights have gone completely out on my '99 Galant, and fuse
replacement does not solve the problem.

It started with just the right 1/3 of the dash going dark, then the
middle also, then finally the left third went out. Now all dark.

Is this a problem that your average joe (me) can fix?

Thanks for any ideas.

Try changing the bulbs

I have same prob. I wonder how much trouble to replace bulbs

I had same trouble. Bought six new bulbs for 11.00
Two screws on upper trim to remove trim from around dash display, un plug
bright /dim knob to remove trim. Remove four screws to pop out dash circuit board. Unplug two power plugs. Bulbs pop off from back. I replaced all five. Two hours including trip to auto mart.
