Post subject: Converting to electric drive

Anybody here done it? That is, removing the engine, radiator, exhaust
system, fuel tank, etc. and installing an electric drive motor and battery
packs. If so, please post your experiences. With the cost of fossil fuel
reaching all-time highs, such a conversion is becoming very tempting,
especially when one realizes that almost all of their driving is local and
short distance.
