I'm looking to hardwire my radar detector into my map lights. If anyone
knows where I could find a wiring diagram that'd be awesome, because there's
about 5 different wires up there. I just need to know which is 12v and
which is ground. Thanks a lot... I appreciate it.

The Bentley repair manual for your model has wiring diagrams. Ground wires
on BMWs are brown.

Simple. If you don't know how to use a multimeter and a test lamp, then you
shouldn't be wiring.

It's not an issue of knowing how to use them... Why would you waste your
time and post in these news groups just to put someone down???? I've
installed radar detectors in 4 other cars, having a wiring diagram. Thanks
for your help.. I hope you feel better about yourself trying to put someone
down.
