Could someone please tell me why when I look up the least safe cars,
about all the articles are from Forbes & all have the Elantra the least safe
even with front & side air bags...Would like to see some other opinions on this
other than Forbes articles...I have a 2003 Elantra with the fron & side air bags
& my insurance co. lowered my rates fron the 91 Nissan I had.
These articles also took some nasty digs at the drivability & comfort of the
Hyundais.

There is plenty of bias against Korean automobiles although it is becoming less as Hyundai and Kia introduce better designed and built automobiles. Why are you trusting Forbes for safety information? The authorative word on auto safety comes from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) which gave your year and model very high marks for safety at http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/ncap/cars/2814.html.

The other highly regarded tester is the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety rates your Elantra GOOD except it got POOR for side impacts. Their web site discussing your model year is at http://www.iihs.org/ratings/ratingsbyseries.aspx?id=318 .
