hey i have a 2007 subaru sti. i launched my car into a curb bending my right inner tie rod end. i replaced the tie rod end myself then took it straight to a tire place and tried to have it alighed.
they told me that my frame was bent because the SAI is off, alot. i hit my front right rim but the front left SAI is off. the car seems to drive ok except the fact that to go straight i have to steer a bit left and when im going slow it does seem to pull a little. A friend of mine who used to alighn cars and he told me because the camber is ok and the caster is the same (although not in range) it cant be bent. my car has no caster adjsmnt. oh and also i was looking at the sheet they printed out and it says 2002-06 STI... i have an 07, are the alignment stats differnt?
the actual adjustments are as follows, ()'s mean the range its suppose to be at and i underlined the things not in spec:
frnt lft: camber: -0.1(-1.3 0.3) caster 3.6(4.1 5.6) toe -.01(-0.13 0.13) SAI 8.1 (14.1 15.6)
frnt ryt(ranges same as above): camber 0.0 caster 3.5 toe -0.02 SAI 15.1
rear lft cmbr -1.5 (-2.4 -0.9)toe 0.03 (-0.13 0.13)
rear ryt cmbr -1.5 toe 0.04
also my friend said that even though they are in range what they aligned it to sucks for performance, this true?
>> Stay informed about: alignment problem, is my frame bent?
