You didn't say if it was an auto or manual and what engine it
had. If it was a common problem your mechanic would know what it
was wouldn't he/she? If it is a auto it might be a cracked
clutch assembly housing (remove the auto pan to check or wait to
fail catastrophically and expensively); it will sound a bit like
a cement mixer when it tries to move of line if this is the
problem
