Latest Car and Driver mag just hit my doorstep (Aug issue). They compare
the Z06 with the Viper, 911 GT-2 and the GT-R.

Seems the GT-R came out first, followed by the Porsche, Viper and Vette.
The Vette did the worst in brake feel, steering feel, and handling. Did the
best in Ride. Seems the car is tuned for a nice ride. I can appreciate
this. Seems they likely tested a wrongly optioned Corvette. Totally beat
the GT-R in the 1/4 mile and matched the Porche and Viper. Vette had the
lightest weight of the 4 cars

Likely we will hear from Sal.

Too bad the GT-R is butt ugly and the Z06 is the best looking. I wonder how
the ZR1 would fare. Likely would be counted down in the price catagory.
That is where the GT-R really shined and the Porsche really choked in this
latest comparo.

I would rate the Corvette the winner. All specs were really too close to
call except price. The Porsche was in la la land. The Viper is really a
kit car and the GT-R is ugly.

Vito

Who cares. Nothing comes close to the Z06 Smiles per Dollar.
