This is my boyfriend's 68 cougar. He has to sell it to help pay for school.
He is asking 5500.00. It's an excellent car! Here is a discription with a
few pictures... please let me know asap if you're interested. If you can
get me your email address I can send you some pictures as well. Thanks!
Happy Hunting!

This car for its age is in great shape. It is a 1968 Mercury Cougar,
Maroon on Maroon, with a 302 2V. Has some minor problems. All Cosmetic.
The car is in perfect running order I have owned this car for 2 years and
I've loved every second of it. Big possible mechanical failure aspects
have all been fixed or replaced. The car has a new timing chain, water
pump, new motor mounts. The car is a blast to drive. It still has the
original Black California License plates. The car was also equipped with
an option known as the Select Shift Merc-o-matic automatic transmission.
Its smiler to semi-auto. As you can put the shifter in different positions
and it will drive different. You can put it to where it would drive as a
normal 3 speed auto, shifting as early as it can to save gas. Or in what
would seem a race mode where it will take the rpm's high up there and give
u a very jerky and powerful shift. The car itself is a blast and i urge
anyone that would like to restore a fabulous piece of automotive history
to at least take a look at this vehicle. With its mature styling and
upgraded interior anyone looking for a mustang, would be much more pleased
with the cougar. Please do not hesitate to call or e-mail about this car.
Its a wonderful piece of history and needs a good home. I am selling
because I'm going off to college in Sacramento and have another car that
get better gas mileage. I have been offered many things for this car and
never got rid of it over the years I've owned it. Now i am left to no
choice as i am in a dead end job looking to get some money for an
apartment and to help with my schooling.

I had the car appraised about a year and half ago and it was appraised at
just under 11,000 I'm selling it cheap because that price i believe is
high. But with options and the mileage he proved me to be wrong
nevertheless also i know paying that kind of money for car that needs
money is hard to do and i find this to be a good compromise. Also to
simply help me sell it.

Would prefer to hear from you by phone or in person!
