Post subject: Turn Signals and Emergency Flashers have failed...

Hi, I have a 98 New Beetle. I was recently doing a U-turn and my turn signals simply just stopped working. Upon getting somewhere i could check things out i discovered that the Emergency flashers also dont work. All my other lights work, just not the turn signals. Could anyone help me out here and maybe point me in the right direction as to how to fix this? Thanks...
