My '97 E-150, it didn't come with a towing package but it did come pre-wired for a brake controller and such, even had the fuse in the box under the hood. A hitch has since been installed as well as a 6 way trailer connector. I bought a brake controller with ford plug-in wire harness for under the..
« I think I figured out the problem... the Ford harness I have is not the correct one for my vehicle it seems. The one I have is from a newer model F-series pickup and has a 6 pin connector but only f.. »
« Slight correction. It seems there's 5 wires on my connector however it seems the wires on my harness are in fact wired correctly near as I can tell from wiring digrams online from ford and for brake.. »
« This problem has been solved. There is aparaently TWO connectors of the same kind (one grey, one brown). I discovered the brown one hiding under the loose carpet and now I have it working properly. »

Just recently the right turn signal started to act up. It will work fine for a while then it will start to clink faster and faster until it is acting as if a bulb is burnt out. Bulbs are fine. Left signal behaves as normal. Is this a sign of the turn signal stalk dying? DS
« That's a likely explanation. You could try wriggling the lever about with small movements when this is happening. If that changes the flashing rate, then it's definitely the switch contacts causin.. »

I have a 2000 Chrysler Cirrus LXi. When signaling for a right turn, the flasher will run faster than when signaling for a left. I have checked the bulbs, and they appear to be okay. Any suggestions? Thanks, Kirk Matheson
