Traction Control System

After driving the car for a few minutes, the ABS and Traction control system lights come on. I loose both ABS and traction control. Both work prier to the warning lights coming on. If I park the car and turn it off, restart, and all is well for a bit until the lights come on. Being winter here..
« This usually indicates a faulty wheel speed sensor. Any shop with a good scan tool can tell you which one. GW »

How is the traction control system works on the 2002 Camry? I know that the engine speed drops to 1,500 RPM regardless of the throttle position but what happens with the brake system, do I have to apply some brake pressure to synchronize the front wheels speed, the rear wheels speed is zero bec..

I have a problem with my Traction control system, this didnt start untill the snow cleared from the ground, but now when I drive it when I take off from a dead stop the "service traction control" light comes on and the ABS light comes on.... This didnt happen when we had snow on the ground, and..
« I'm pretty sure that when the ABS goes out it will knock out the TCS as the TCS uses the ABS system to apply the brakes to the slipping tire to stop the spin and transfer torque to the other side.. »

« If it does, it is so small an effect you will most likely never know itl. Modern ABS/traction systems read wheel sensor data in real time and therefore react to the conditions as they change. The sy.. »
